Brief History
I qualified in 1986 from the Middlesex Hospital in London and worked in leading London hospitals. I have also worked in California, USA, at San Jose Medical Centre, a leading trauma and chronic pain clinic, where I trained in working this area.
I returned to London and worked on a physiotherapy research project working with GPs. In 1994 I set up a private practice in Westminster, London, working with local GPs, consultants and providing a physiotherapy service to occupational health departments of several large corporate businesses. In 1997 I relocated my practice to Worcestershire, where I was originally from.
I work with all ages, from “young at hearts” to children and adolescents. Having 3 sporty children, and being asked to provide Sports Physiotherapy cover for the clubs/schools they were involved with, I completed a Sports Physiotherapy Diploma at Bath University I have trained specifically in adolescent sports injuries and worked for Malvern College for 16 years as their physiotherapist, and on LTA Youth Performance Programmes.
I treat a wide variety of injuries and conditions (please see conditions treated).
I enjoy working with all sorts of people from high-level athletes, from working as a Olympic Games physiotherapist to the “enthusiastic” sports players, tree surgeons to office workers, grandparents, etc, combining my long experience and up-to-date medical research and evidence-based practice, with a good deal of humour, creativity and empathy.
Having a Malvern physiotherapy practice now offers me the opportunity to use my experience to help the local community, with injury prevention at all levels.
